I turned very young 52 just a few weeks ago and I think I'm beginning to learn a few things in life. We all know that learning is a life-long process so today as we begin a new year I thought I'd share a few things I'm learning in my journey through life.
I've learned...that there is nothing more important to me than my relationships.
I've learned...that just one person saying to me, "You've made my day!" makes my day.
I've learned...that being kind is more important than being right.
I've learned...that while I can't choose what happens to me, I can choose how I respond and what I do about it.
I've learned...that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the growth occurs while you're climbing it.
I've learned...that when you refuse to forgive you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.
I've learned...that the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.
I've learned...that we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.
I've learned...that if God didn't do it all in one day, what makes me think I can?
I've learned...that God is faithful...always! And while He doesn't always do what I want Him to do at the moment, He always does what is in my best interest.
